Delete your WordEase account

You can request account deletion from WordEase or by email without installing the app.

Request deletion without the app

Email support@wordease.co.uk with the subject “WordEase account deletion request”. Tell us the email address used for your WordEase account and that you want your account and associated personal data deleted. Where possible, send the request from that address. If you cannot access it, explain that so we can help verify ownership safely.

You do not need to reinstall WordEase. We will need to verify ownership before acting; never send your password, verification codes or payment-card details. We will explain any additional steps and any information that must be retained for a legitimate reason.

Secure browser confirmation

Browser confirmation is being prepared for launch. Until it is available, use the support email route above. Never email your password or a password-reset link.

Delete from WordEase

  1. Open WordEase → Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  2. Read the deletion notice and confirm that you want to delete the account.
  3. Enter your current password to reauthenticate, then confirm deletion.

If you have forgotten your password, use password recovery or contact support. Wait for the result: an error before the request is accepted is not confirmation that deletion has happened.

What deletion does

Once the backend records an accepted deletion request, it blocks further account access and new cloud AI requests. The Firebase Authentication login is removed. If that removal cannot finish immediately, the request is kept for retry and access remains blocked. An AI request already sent for processing may still need to finish and be reconciled.

The current implementation retains account-linked usage/allowance, purchase, financial, security, abuse-prevention, reconciliation and deletion records after the login is removed. It does not immediately delete every backend record. Retention must have a continuing legitimate purpose, such as resolving a transaction or preventing subscription fraud, or be required by law. The approved policy removes ordinary operational events after 30 days and reduces settled request detail after 90 days following reconciliation, or sooner after account deletion when it is safe to do so. Detailed deletion-case evidence is retained for 12 months after closure; minimal records needed to prevent reactivation, request replays or incorrect entitlement transfer are retained separately. Holds and unresolved liabilities take priority. The cleanup service is prepared locally but is not yet active for launch. Contact support to request associated-data deletion and an explanation of any necessary retention. See the Privacy Policy.

Deleting the online account does not erase device-local learning, clipboard history or files in your Screenshots folder. Use the relevant local controls or Android’s app-storage controls to remove WordEase’s local data. Content you have already pasted or sent to other apps is handled separately by those apps.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting a WordEase account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. To avoid future renewal charges, cancel it separately in Google Play. You can request account deletion whether or not you have already cancelled renewal.

Manage Google Play subscriptions

Deleting and recreating an account with the same email address does not automatically transfer an old subscription or account entitlement. Contact support before deletion if you need help understanding the effect on paid access.
